THE SACRED EGLISES of TOULOUSE

Medieval Times…The power and wealth of the Catholic Church here in Toulouse and all the region Midi Pirinees …keeps me busy learning all about this magnifique culture and religion influence of the church and what makes Toulouse such a special place?

Well, the more I visit the Masion Occitania, Masion Midi Pirinees, the Cathedral St. Sernan and all the historic buildings there is a clear distinction of how committed the people in Toulouse wants to keep the Occitan, the medieval of modern language of Langue D’oc ( a mix of many languages) in Medieval 12th-14th Centuries.

The Catharism which was a form of Manichaean dualism and sought to achieve great spiritual purity was a way of life that in those days Rome did not like it and it is fascinating to hear all the local history that makes this a amazing place with the most amazing people…
