Mr Goodatrek in Paris

IMG_1227

Mr Goodatrek “an Englishman that will do anything you want, if you give him a cup of tea!” I learned that soon enough! No buts about it, just a simple cup of tea and he will do wonders! This photo is proof of that! The solar panel got installed and I must say this is the first time he had ever done one! No manuals; just his brains and pair of hands.

THE ROAD TO RECOVERY…by Poet Jude

The Road to Recovery

Posted on October 30, 2009 by

The Road to Recovery

everyone but the government

and a few experts know we are

not recovering anything that may

have been lost and maybe they’re the

only ones who want it back the back-

breaking toil of hundreds of worker bees

maybe we like unemployment except for

losing our houses maybe we like losing those

mortgages, isn’t mort-French for dead-gages of

our lives used up for nothing we might love doing

what we love, living simply again, a small plot of

land with fruit and veggies, walking to the store makes us

feel great a lot better than paying to sweat at the gym

running like guinea pigs in a cage because we ride everywhere

in our cars perhaps we could enjoy

living lightly on the earth, the communion of each other

maybe we’d like to discover our community of trees and

animals and friends instead of recovering those financial

sins carrying some greed-imposed burden back on our backs

maybe there’s another path, a road to love instead of recovery

BAMBOOZLED! by Jude Janett

BamboozledImage

yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil Psalm 23.

some crazy ancestors thought that
spooks hid behind every tree and god
would kill you as fast as your enemy
down the trail so get your holy on
grab some fire and brimstone to keep
yourself clean and safe learn the rules
line the walls with precepts for the
afterlife everyone knew this world
would be hard here payment required
for all joy, sorrow a matter of living

we have come a long way baby, but
not so far from the Halloween fears
keep us doing shit to avoid shit
when a step off the path and into
the sunlight is a matter of a small
change of thought lightening speed
to fire with no brimstone, just warmth
and some light to dance around
i see these ghoulish apparitions more
often than Scrooge saw Marley

so this fall season i’m clearing the
windshield of my vision, taking
a look in the woods at the spirits
of joy and laughter, I’m done
bamboozling myself I’m off
to an adventure in the same
valley where last my bones were
shaking, really haven’t got all that
much to lose cradled here in the
arms of a dancing Universe made of love.

Travelling …Snuggled …Comforted by silence…

<img src="https://goodatrek.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/tumblr_luv526zlme1qka1dco1_400-1.jpg" class="size-full" alt="Travelling …Snuggled …Comforted by silence…"

MR & MRS GOODATREK went for a long walk. They need as much fresh air as they can get to get them out of their motorhome where they snuggled nice and warm. It would be great just to hibernate but even when you are travelling and adventuring there is a routine to follow. MR GOODATREK is good with routine, maybe the fact he is english helps. MRS GOODATREK is far too spontaneous for routine, maybe the fact she is brazilian. Oh well, one way or another the truth is…
EVEN WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELLING AND ADVENTURING ONE NEEDS ROUTINE AND DISCIPLINE…and even that can be hard work…back from the long walk? Time to go back to snuggle and cuddle xxx tons of love to everyone.DSC00026

My favourite French family…Chef Benoit Busyene’s

Family in France? Our best moments in Vale de Loire was time spent with the family Busyene. We met them in Norwich when Chef Benoit Busyene and his adorable brazilian wife Adla Leal where visiting our friend for life Mrs Mari Parker. At that time Chef Benoit was working in an French Restaurant in Cambridge. When we where invited to join them in Vale de Loire Benoit and Adla where visiting their parents in Vale de Loire with their gorgeous little girl Liz. We where so welcome by Mr and Mrs Busyene that we parked our motorhome in their garden. We experienced the best hospitality you can imagine by Benoit’s parents. We will tell you more later about this amazing family! Been around Chef Benoit and taste his delicious gastronomy…

THE SACRED EGLISES of TOULOUSE

Medieval Times…The power and wealth of the Catholic Church here in Toulouse and all the region Midi Pirinees …keeps me busy learning all about this magnifique culture and religion influence of the church and what makes Toulouse such a special place?

Well, the more I visit the Masion Occitania, Masion Midi Pirinees, the Cathedral St. Sernan and all the historic buildings there is a clear distinction of how committed the people in Toulouse wants to keep the Occitan, the medieval of modern language of Langue D’oc ( a mix of many languages) in Medieval 12th-14th Centuries.

The Catharism which was a form of Manichaean dualism and sought to achieve great spiritual purity was a way of life that in those days Rome did not like it and it is fascinating to hear all the local history that makes this a amazing place with the most amazing people…

Toulouse by night

Pont Neuf ( the picture) is an example of the french amazing ability to highlight the night life … it is so temping to walk miles and miles just admiring the sky of the beautiful river Garonne all year round.

Martin and i fell in love with Toulouse and all that it has to offer. This is a special part of the world and the history and culture keeps you wondering what else is there for one to discover… Toulouse Lautrec comes from Toulouse. His museum is in Albi …now that is another place to visit!
